Black Caps Beat Australia in Second Test - 2011
Another historic day for New Zealand sport, beating the Aussies in Oz for the first time in 26 odd yrs. Yes i know thats a long time, but the Aussies are good....but alas not quite good enough eh? good to see the Black Caps showing from grit and determination to win by a mere 7 runs. Well done boys.

New Zealand & The All Blacks Celebrate Historic World Cup Win 2011
Tis been a bit since Lord/Sir Richie lifted the Cup high, but i nneded to get back into my blog and with the end of the yr fast approaching I simply had to mention this. Firstly, it was a horrible final to watch against the French, who plyaed well but not well enough. A scoreline of 8-7 for at least the last 35 minutes did my nerves no favours, along with 4.2 million other kiwi's. But the boys tackled like demons when it mattered and didn't give away any penalties to be crowned the Rugby World champions for 2011. Magic and relief rolled into one.

Super 15 update.
Been a bit quiet for a while in here, so here's a update of whats been going on in the Super 15 and also my picks for the up-coming Tri-nation All Blacks team.
Super 15.
1 week out for the final between th Queensland Red and the Canterbury Crusaders, & I am astonished that the Crusaders are there after all the damage thats been wrought upon them from 2 devastating earthquakes in CHCH. The team doesn't even have a home grd anymore, although Nelson has been doing a fine job. But really, is it s surprise that the Crusaders and there again in the final? Nope not really. Time & time again they do the biz. And the Reds, well, yes after last season where they ran out of steam and players, this yr hasn't really been much of a surprise although i did think the Auckland Blues wouldn't have given them a better run in the semi. But it seems that the Blues had the horror run of injuries this yr that Queensland did last yr. Oh well.
My pick of the final, well, it won't be an Aussie team that wins. But will the fairy tale come to an end for the Crusaders at the hand of the Reds? International players aside, Queensland haven't been in a S15 final before and for the Crusaders its just another day at the office.
Crusaders by less than 12...it will be tight.
All Black team for the Tri-Nations.
Hmmmm.....i think for the Fiji test & Tri-Nations games, Henry and his crew will have to plunge a couple of guys in the deep end to test their mettle and it will pass of fail really, until the World Cup arrives. There is no other way, or rather heaps of time to experiment.
1 W Crockett
2 H Elliot
3 B Franks
4 J HOEATA
5 Donnolly
6 Messiam
7 Todd/Thompson/Braid
8 Vito
9 Weepu
10 Slade/Cruden
11 Maitland
12 SBW
13 Fruean
14 Guildford
15 Ben Smith
Of course there area few injuries out there, Dagg, Ranger, Toeava, Woodcock, Boric etc. Plus I would probably change this after the Fiji test or maybe after 1 Tri-Nations game.
